Rob is the tattoo removal guy who loves tattoos. Sitting in the Panera in Copley Square (Boston), Rob came up with the idea for Disappearing inc. “What if,” he thought, “we were the first business in Massachusetts to specialize exclusively in tattoo removal and provide a completely unique customer experience?” And voila, Disappearing inc. was born (and by “voila” he means after a significant amount of tears, sweat, and effort).
Rob grew up in Northern New Jersey and went to college at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, he moved to Boston and became a certified EMT. After 10 years in the for-profit world (P&G, Reebok, a bunch of .com’s) and 10 years in the non-profit world (Boston Children’s Hospital, Tufts Medical Center Floating Hospital for Children, among others), he decided he was tired of working for others and started Disappearing inc.
He is a Certified Laser Technician and Laser Safety Officer from the National Laser Institute in Arizona. Rob’s an adrenaline addict when he is not removing tattoos, he is hanging with his family, being tattooed (over 40 hours of tattooing on his body and counting), skiing, snowboarding, bungee jumping or rock climbing.
When not getting his adrenaline fix, he enjoys reading fantasy/sci-fi (he’s really a geek at heart), following politics and writing poetry.
